Dressing so as not to get cold or sweat is a real art for newly arrived in the country. Maybe that is why jackets and cardigans are so loved here, they are comfortable to hold on the arm if the sun has come out and they are good enough to keep you warm if the sun is hidden and it becomes chilly.

The creation of a popular working-class club culture was, in its day, a source of inspiration for fashion too. The influx of immigrants spawned subcultures that, of course, influenced fashion in London. From Teddy Boys and Girls to Grunge (that fuses elements of punk rock and heavy metal), London has become one of the most diverse metropolis on the planet.
At the same time, the world’s attention-grabbing royal family plays a role in the formation of a “Very English Style”, keeping the tradition and some old-fashioned trends. English modesty has always been distinguished from French delicacy by its aura of simplicity and classicism.
